I am a dedicated advocate for neurodivergent students and adults, and I currently head the special education department at Stuyvesant High School. My work at New York’s most competitive specialized high school focuses on providing support and educational opportunities for neurodivergent students.
I’m also a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with honors, taught as a fellow with Teach for America, and hold a master’s degree in special education, concentrating on twice-exceptional (2E) learners. These are intellectually gifted teens and adults with specific learning needs caused by various cognitive and developmental differences—and the reason I’m successful in working with this population is because I am a part of it. As a neurodivergent, 2E person, I deeply understand the challenges and strengths that come with this unique identity. I started Minder Coaching because I have seen firsthand the importance of individually-tailored strategies in helping people like me thrive in some of the most demanding academic and professional environments.
